BUILD YOUR BANK OF FAITH-FILLED WORDS

I belong to the company of those who cannot kill chicken but can eat it. I would have been worse off, but a certain festive season saved me.

I was spending Christmas with a dear uncle who loved animals. They were carrying birds (hen and turkey) into a waiting vehicle. He called me to come and help. He did not know that I was afraid of carrying a live fowl.  

While I hesitated and shook in fear, my uncle’s voice reached out with a command, “Carry that Turkey now.” That was my deliverance.  I carried the turkey that day, but I cannot kill a fowl till date. 

One of the ways you will overcome fear is to be careful about the voices that speak into your ears and life. Anyone who has your ears has your life. One of the gates into the life of any man is the ears.

Listen, a dear teacher shared how he noticed he does not tolerate failure. How did he master it? He traced it to his first pastor. Voices can bring you into the fears. The right voice will bring you out of it. 

It took my Uncle’s piercing command to deliver me from that fear. Do you have any voice in your life that pierces that strange order that fear has built around you? Do you have a voice that makes you bold when life wants to choke with fears?

One voice you cannot take for granted is the voice of a Shepherd: 

Psalms 23:1, 4 NKJV

[1] The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

[4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Anyone who keeps speaking fearful words to you and over you will soon put you in bondage. However, if you are soaked in faith-filled words, you will realize that faith becomes your default by simply listening to God’s Word.

When the fear of death comes knocking, do you have a response of life? When fear of failure comes to you, do you have a response? When the fear tries to choke you,  do you have a faith-filled testimony?

Start gathering your arsenals of faith now. You will soon need them. Only faith-propelled words activate angels.
