HAVE I EVER DEPRIVED YOU?

HAVE I EVER DEPRIVED YOU?

I was spending my break in school with a dear uncle of mine. As a matter of fact, I was staying temporarily with him before going to my final destination.

One morning, after getting the preliminaries out of the way, I walked to my Aunt’s door, knocked and said, “Ma, I am hungry”.

She responded, “Since you got here, have I ever deprived you?”

I felt sad that I went to trouble her!

But our God is not like that. He loves it when we knock on the door. He loves it when we ask. He is our Father.

The Psalmist knows some unique things about God:

God will not deprive you of good things. He is a sun and a shield. He bestows with favour and honour. No good thing will He withhold from them that walks uprightly.

He again said, “I was young and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread… Their children will be blessed”.

And it is not just the Psalms, Paul also said that God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches.

And you do not have to worry about what you shall eat or drink or the cloth you will wear because your heavenly father will not deprive you.

Most of what you are worried over is already taken care of.

I have seen God show up in amazing ways with exactly what was needed.

Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God and you will not be moved. Believe His Word and you will prosper.

That bill will be paid.
That need will be met.
That answer will come.
You will not be put to shame.
You will not beg.
Your days of sighing are over.
You will return with a testimony.
