SPEAK KIND WORDS
I walked into the bank some years back and it was still quite full even though it was almost the close of business for the day. I needed help in the Customer Care section. The bank staff still had about five people in front of him. His face was stiff and extra serious. He was attending to people with the last ounce of his patience. I know that with a little push, things may go south.
I picked up a piece of paper and wrote something on it. I passed it to him. He read it and he lightened up. I may not remember the exact words I wrote but it was something like, “I know it must have been a long day. Thank you for attending to our banking issues. We are grateful”. The way he approached everyone else was different. Surely, he attended to me also with calm and composure.
