UNCLOTH THAT THING YOU FEAR

As young ones still in primary school, we had one of our paternal uncles living with us. He was full of mischief. He was always the one at home when we returned. He played a prank on us for a while.

As we opened the door, this being covered in red drapes would emerge from the back of the door making strange sounds. We would scream and run. By the time we were back, it was uncle we would see without any disguise. We were a bit confused, especially me.

The fear stopped the day I knew who was behind the mask. It was my uncle. Instead of running, I now get to laugh the next time he tried making me scared.

Settle it fast that God has not given you a spirit of fear. The devil leverages on fear to further his agenda. Once you are afraid, he finds an entry point. Once he finds an entry, he begins to control all sorts of things and distracts you also.

How do you deal with that fear?

Grow in knowledge. People are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Invest in growing knowledge. Do not stay in ignorance. Do not allow superstition to reign in your life. Do not allow tradition to put you in a cage.

Do you know that the prophets recorded that when men see the devil for who he is, they will be shocked that what they feared and “worshipped” only had a bloated image?

There are things that growth deals with. Make up your mind to grow in 2024. Deal with that fear by growing up.

As a child, I always wanted someone to be with me in the room before sleeping. The light was also on. Why? I was afraid.  Not anymore. Why? Growth has dealt with my fear.

Invest in growing!

It handles fear.
