WHEN IT IS NOT GOING YOUR WAY (2)
As we approached the door, Olive reached out and said, “Daddy, let me have the card so I can open it.” She was obviously excited to do it. I requested that she should be given the card. She placed it on the door for the usual scan, and the green light came on. Then she attempted to open the door by pressing the handle, but she could not get it to the point that would get the door open. At that moment, I reached out and turned the handle for her. She had the card. She knew what to do but still needed my help as her Dad.
Beloved, you may have great plans, and you already have mapped out strategies, and you can get to a point where it is not working out exactly as you expected. You punched in all the codes and gave it all the push, yet the door is not opening, or the business is not growing. Do not give up yet.
Do you remember the sons of the prophet? They saw the need for expansion. They had the resources for expansion. They had the connection to hire some of the tools they needed- an axe. There was one of them who remembered and asked a crucial question:
“Then one of them said, “Won’t you please come with your servants?” “I will,” Elisha replied.”
2 Kings 6:3 NIV
Beloved, when you have everything in place, kindly ask for the blessing of the Lord to accompany you also. Check whether the Father is on that path with you. Thank God for certifications, connections, credentials and creditworthiness, but without the presence of the Lord, we will struggle.
You can have the tools yet lack the presence. You have the strategy yet lack the counsel that fathers supply. When it seems like it is not working, please pause and ask where it went wrong.
On the journey, when the axe head fell into the water and things were not going as planned, the presence of the prophetic and the help of a father changed a story of woe to that of wonder.
“As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. “Oh no, my Lord!” he cried out. “It was borrowed!” The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float. “Lift it out,” he said. Then the man reached out his hand and took it.”
2 Kings 6:5-7 NIV
Have you structured your life and journey so much that you have structured God, divine guidance and instructions out of it? Is there room for the divine? No matter how much load you need to carry, when you load up the driver’s seat, you are going nowhere. There may be issues, but leave the driver’s seat to God. Let him lead and guide you out of that maze.
But the question is, “Is He with you?”
