WHEN IT IS NOT GOING YOUR WAY

WHEN IT IS NOT GOING YOUR WAY

I asked a young man who plays the keyboard and was leaving Eruwa after his studies to kindly get another person who can also play. Some days later, I had a teenager sitting in my office. He had no plans to stay in Eruwa at all. He was expecting admission to a federal university. He was sure it would happen. He was too sure he would not stay that long in Eruwa.

God had other plans- He eventually finished his diploma programme. Eruwa became his baptism into the calling. It became his launch pad into business connections.  It became home for him. He still went to a federal university, but it was not the same as he had initially planned.  Today, he is serving in ministry and also growing his business (as a student).

When you ask him what he is most grateful for,  his response would likely be that he came to Eruwa.

It is not a joke when Apostle Paul said:

Romans 8:28 NLT

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Truly, there are times things do not go as planned; however, you must not get to a point where you lose trust in God. One thing you must keep reminding yourself of is God’s faithfulness.

The Prophet Jeremiah says to tell you:

Jeremiah 29:11 MSG

I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

One old song gives that assurance, too:

Jesus knows what He will do

My Father knows what He will do

The Holy Spirit knows what to do

To ensure my life turns out as beautiful as planned

What is not going your way at the moment? Lean on the Lord. Trust the Lord.  It will turn out for your good.
