HOW TO ACCESS PEACE 1

While growing up, we had an uncle who lived with us. We were still quite young and in primary school. Whenever he noticed that we were close to him, he would cover himself in a red piece of cloth and hide behind the living room door. Once we opened the door, he would come out making strange sounds. We ran away all the time afraid of this strange being.

However, the day we discovered that it was Uncle who was behind the veil, the dynamics changed. We stopped running for our lives.  We would scream his name and run inside instead.  Why? We had grown in knowledge. We were no longer in the dark.

The devil feeds fat on the ignorant. He uses devices to magnify himself more than he really is. There is a prophecy that at the end of days when nations see the one who caused them so much trouble, they will be shocked:

Isaiah 14:15-16 NKJV

[15] Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. [16] “Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,

A lot of people will be shocked when they see that the one they were afraid of had only a bloated and inflated image. He is not omnipresent. He is not everywhere. However, his kingdom is greatly organized.

But for the believer, your focus should be on how you will grow in the knowledge of Christ. Peace is multiplied wherever there is knowledge. Fear rules where ignorance abides.

II Peter 1:2 NKJV

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord

Do not expend too much energy studying the devil. Know Jesus Christ so well that you spot the devil when he is trying to play pranks. To know the fake, you must have a working knowledge of the original.

Finally, there is no rest unless you come to Jesus Christ. You can only find peace of mind in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-29 NKJV

[28] Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
