HOW TO SECURE DIVINE GUIDANCE (1)

I had travelled out of town for almost two days, running into forty-eight hours. Irewamiri was pregnant with our first baby. Just as I parked the car and stepped into the house, she had an interesting update for me.

She kept saying, “See this child,” Apparently, since I left the house, the baby had not been active and kicking as she would normally do. Irewamiri sang and did everything. She would just move a bit to indicate that I was here. She was not super active.

She said everything changed the moment the car sounded in front of the house. The child began to kick in excitement. As I stepped in, the kicking intensified. At that moment, Irewamiri knew that the calmness was because of my absence.  The baby knew someone was not at home. 

Your primary access to securing divine guidance is becoming a child of God. God is committed to leading his children.  If you are not his child, you cannot know or recognise his voice. Every child knows and recognises the voice of the father.

A major prerequisite to divine guidance is becoming a child of God:

Romans 8:14 NLT

[14] For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

God led Israel out of Egypt.

Exodus 19:4 NKJV

[4] ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

To enjoy divine guidance out of Egypt into the promised land, they were bestowed with a special status- “God’s Firstborn”

Exodus 4:22 NKJV

[22] Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Israel is My son, My firstborn.

Listen, it rakes sonship to secure divine guidance. Anyone who is not a child of God cannot enjoy the leading of God.

Are you his child?

If you are not, God cannot lead you.
