RECOVERING FROM A FALL (7) – MOVING BEYOND GUILT

RECOVERING FROM A FALL (7) – MOVING BEYOND GUILT

You could hear the pain in his voice when he said, “I was the one who admitted to her. I have taken the time to also ensure that I do not do anything that will injure our trust any longer. If she says she has forgiven me, why does she keep bringing up this issue? She keeps pointing it out to me directly and indirectly. I have moved beyond it. I would never touch it even with a long pole, but can she please not allow her fears to pull us back to the things I have left behind? I do not like it”.

One of the things that the enemy leverages to bring people back into a mess is the sting of guilt and condemnation. He is an expert in the ministry of accusation.

Revelation 12:10 NKJV

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

Accusation drains a man of strength. As long as the voice of accusation is still there, the strength to live righteously remains a struggle. Accusation tells a man who is already free that he is still bound. Accusation creates an environment for a man to fall again. On the journey of recovery from a fall, know when the enemy has deployed accusation.

How do you handle the spirit of accusation that wants you bound in guilt and condemnation?

Know clearly that when the son makes you free, you are free indeed. Settle it that there is no more condemnation because you are in Christ Jesus.

Do not let the accusation stick on you. Job’s wife told him to curse God and die. Job refused the strange suggestion. His friends told him many terrible things. Job ended up praying for his friends.

Condemnation leads you away from the life of freedom that you have in Christ. Do not let it have a grip on you.

When the enemy keeps reminding you of your past, you also remind that devil of his future.  God dealt with your past. Do not let anyone use it as a tool of accusation.

When the past raises its ugly head, remember that the “Old you” is dead. Plug in to the new life that you have in Christ Jesus. Live from that advantage.

Hear Paul speak:

Galatians 5:1 TPT

At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.

Refuse to go back!
