RECOVERY FROM A FALL 10- THE ASSIGNMENT PHASE

RECOVERY FROM A FALL 10- THE ASSIGNMENT PHASE

It was a stormy season; she had discovered that she was pregnant. It would soon be known by everyone. They would mock this godly sister who used to boldly preach Christ to everyone. It was tough. In the midst of it, tragedy struck and death visited her family.

She had asked the Lord for forgiveness. She had broken up with the man. She then discovers all of this. It was too hard. God supplied grace.

Years later, I sat in a congregation where she told her story- I saw tears well up in the eyes of many. I saw healing taking place in the soul of those who had been on a similar journey. What the enemy could have used to bring her down has now become a tool to lift others up.

The final phase of recovery from a fall is the assignment phase. This is the point where we know that “It may not be God-sent, but it can be God-used”. God can use our pitfalls as a launchpad into greater purpose.

When David wrote the Psalm where he cried to the Lord for restoration after he fell into adultery with Bathsheba and he murdered her husband, Uriah, he wrote some powerful words:

*Psalms 51:12-13 TPT*

_*[12] Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say. [13] Then I can show other guilty ones how loving and merciful you are. They will find their way back home to you, knowing that you will forgive them.*_

Sometimes, the challenges and problems you have been through in life is a pointer to an assignment that you are ordained to solve. Every time I share my salvation story and I mention my teenage struggles with lust, porn, and masturbation, I have seen lives turned around and many delivered from such oppression.

Did you see how strongly Paul became an ambassador of the same Jesus that he persecuted? His voice was loud in opposition but way louder in purpose and assignment. We still hear him loud and clear today.

Turn your testimony into a sword. Share with others how the mercy of God pulled you back from destruction. You will be surprised to learn that others are going through similar experiences. You will be surprised how many will be pulled out of the pit of despair, shame, guilt and condemnation.

Welcome back home.

Welcome back to purpose.

Now fire on as a soldier of Christ.

Your wounds are healed.

Do not fall again.

Stand on your feet.

Wear the full armour of God

There is love in sharing
