IF YOU ARE STARTING A NEW SEASON 4

IF YOU ARE STARTING A NEW SEASON 4

I still remember where I was standing when I got the call:
“So when you have children, how will you afford to buy diapers for them?” Other questions in that format kept pouring in. I had no answers. The only thing I knew was that the Lord sent me and I was already in the land.

There are many people who wanted to start a new thing but are still analyzing, still now. Over-analysis has kept them in one spot. If you look at the wind, you will not sow. If you wait for perfect conditions, you will make no move.

Do you know it was something they called a wise move that triggered their long stay in the wilderness? Let us take a look together:

The Lord told them to go into the land and possess it at once:

“Look, I am giving all this land to you! Go in and occupy it, for it is the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to all their descendants.”
— ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Moses reiterated the same thing:

“I said to you, ‘You have now reached the hill country of the Amorites that the Lord our God is giving us. Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’”
— ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:20‑21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Instead of taking that leap of faith, they had a great idea—let us send in spies first to bring us information so we can analyze and decide how we want to take the land.

“But you all came to me and said, ‘First, let’s send out scouts to explore the land for us. They will advise us on the best route to take and which towns we should enter.’”
— ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Moses listened to them and thought it was a great idea anyway to send in spies first:

“This seemed like a good idea to me, so I chose twelve scouts, one from each of your tribes.”
— ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What was the outcome of their SWOT analysis? They rebelled against the Lord. They refused to go. They became stuck for years.

“But you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God and refused to go in.”
— ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

They complained.
They said the Lord hated them.
They refused to trust the Lord.
They became demoralized.

Does it sound familiar?
Do you see how we lose out on God’s plans for us?

Do not over-analyze!
There is something called a step of faith.
