YOU WON’t STAY LONG BEFORE THE PORTALS OPEN (The Beauty of Consistence)

I was with a beloved one and I began to ask questions about their marital journey. When we got to the point on communication, he said that it has dropped. That it has declined so bad that when they sit together, there is not a lot to say or talk about.

I asked how it used to be. He mentioned that it used to be fluid. I asked why it was no longer same. He mentioned that it was because they did not sustain the flow of communication.

It is the same with our relationship with God. Do you notice that if it has been a while that you prayed, the longer it has been,the tougher it is to reconnect to God?

One realm that you should desire to get to intimacy with God is the realm where your thoughts carry the weight of prayers. Also, desire the realm where as words are been spoken, heaven is backing it.

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Isaiah 65:24 KJV

There are times you pray for about five minutes and you hit the gushers of the Spirit and there is an overflow. Why? There has been consistence built over time. It comes with a unique advantage.

However, when you have not spent time in prayer for a long time, it can take one hour and at times even more to hit the gushers. Why? Distance and time has caused a dryness in Spirit.

When a cup is full and you give it a slight push, the content will spill. Some believers are like that. There are however some that would need to be filled first. They are not in an overflow season at all.

Consistence bridges the gap in the Spirit. Do not be discouraged. The best thing to do when you have not studied and prayed in a long time is to study and pray. Do not let feelings keep you away. You will get back into the depth.

Fight for consistence. Pick an hour of the day and consecrate it to the Lord for a start. It works.
