IF YOU ARE CALLED, BE ENCOURAGED
Someone saw my brother and asked about me. My brother told him that I was in the land of Eruwa doing the work of ministry. He told my brother, “He cannot last in the land. I tried it, and the church closed up. That land is not an easy place.”
He saw my brother some years later and asked, “Is he still in Eruwa?” My brother answered in the affirmative. The brother was shocked. Then my brother added, “He is not just in Eruwa; the work is also prospering. He is doing well.”
Today marks 13 years of Nourishing Ground Community Church (formerly The Eagles Assembly), and we are grateful for what the Lord has done. We are grateful for the miracle of transformed lives and the expansions we have enjoyed. To God alone be all the glory.
Beloved, despise not the days of little beginnings.
Job 8:7 KJV
[7] Though thy beginning was small, Yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Focus on the assignment that the Lord has given to you. Thank God for the history of others, but hold on to the ministry you received from the Lord. Learn from the journey of others, but wield the rod of your calling with confidence.
Colossians 4:17 KJV
[17] And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
No matter what, like Abraham, do not stagger at the promise of the Lord. Fight doubt. Fight unbelief. Stay in faith. Give thanks to the Lord.
Romans 4:20 KJV
[20] he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
When it seems like you are seeing nothing, do not be discouraged. When Elijah sent to check for the rain, the servant came back six times saying there was nothing, but the posture of Elijah did not change, and neither did his persistence. He groaned and pushed.
When you see a little sign of progress, hold on to it in faith and thanksgiving. When the servant said that he saw a cloud, Elijah moved on in faith.
I Kings 18:44 NKJV
[44] Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”
The small cloud is about to become a full gathering of the clouds and the release of showers upon you and all that is connected to you. The famine is over. You will not just hear the sound of abundance of rain; you will see the valleys filled up with water and the rivers overflow, and the dry trees blossom with greens and fruits.
We rejoice with you.
