SCORPION ON THE WINDOW
I was away from home for a season when Irewamiri’s shared a testimony of divine protection. She had opened the window of the house for some breeze to come in. She later went to close the windows.
Some moments later, she went to open the windows again and realised that when she was closing the window, she had crushed a huge scorpion that was trying to climb into our bedroom. And to make matters worse, it was carrying eggs.
She had locked the window without knowing she won a battle that we did not even see nor envisaged could ever be there.
One of the things you must grateful for in life are the battles that were settled without you being aware that they existed. It is only when God gives opportunity to see some things that we were delivered from that we get to appreciate how faithful He is. Oftentimes, thanksgiving is in retrospect.
Battles are a function of human existence. As long as men are on earth, there will be battles to fight.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
I John 5:4 NKJV
The proof that there are battles is that the Word calls us overcomers. Paul also said:
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:37 NKJV
In life, even though there are battles, you must carry the mentality of a victor. Refuse the mindset of a victim at all costs.
Have the mindset of a conqueror. Why? A solid weapon in the hands of anyone with the mindset of a victim is already a setback.
Have the mindset of a conqueror because as a man thinks in his heart so he is. In this kingdom, you do not receive according to what is available, you obtain according to what you see. If the sight of your mind is poor, your reception will also be poor and you cannot appropriate what the Lord has blessed you with.
It can look like a tough season but have the mindset of a conqueror. Be bold. Do not entertain fear.
