STAY IN JOY NO MATTER WHAT 2

STAY IN JOY NO MATTER WHAT 2

In March 2018, we were preparing for our Church Anniversary and Word Convention. We had about eighteen thousand in the account, but we had a budget that was ten times in size. I stayed in faith as we awaited the date.

But sometimes faith is easy when the deadline still seems far. As the day drew closer, my faith began to shake. But the Lord helped me by putting a song in my mouth:

Jesus will do a Miracle

My Father will do a Miracle.

The way and manner He will do it

I may not understand

But Mt Father will do it a Miracle.

Three days before the convention, on a Sunday afternoon, someone sent me a message thanking me for my daily write-ups. She apologised that they had been using it in their church publication without telling me. They acknowledged me as the author. I responded with gratitude.

Some minutes later, she said that she noticed that our Church convention was that week and she and her husband would love to sow a seed if we did not mind. I smiled and sent the Ministry Account details. My heart leapt for joy.

The wait then started. A day to the convention, we had to travel with the little we had to buy things we would need to host guests that we could not find in our community. Just as we were exiting Ibadan, the alert dropped. It was way bigger than what we needed. It left a whole lot for us to put into outreach.  The Lord did it.

Beloved, do you remember when Jesus Christ had to feed five thousand men? One of the disciples said that one year’s salary would not even have done it. All they could gather was five loaves of bread and two fish.

Our attitude is like theirs most time. We look at the challenge and look at our hands or account balance and say, “What is that among so many?”

John 6:9 NKJV

[9] “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

Jesus showed us what our attitude should be: It must always be Thanksgiving no matter what!

 John 6:11 NKJV

[11] And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.

Listen, get into Thanksgiving for that little you have. Organize yourself and see God do what only He can do.

The people got “as much as they wanted”. In the name of Jesus, this season, as you give thanks, you will move from “What is that among so many” to “As much as I wanted”. God will exceed your budget! Amen.
