THE BLESSING OF KNOWING YOUR TEACHERS EARLY
When I was heading for National Service in Akwa-Ibom State, I got connected to a family friend whom I had not seen in years. I told him I would call once I got to Akwa-Ibom. When I landed in Akwa-Ibom, I boarded a taxi to camp. I called him from the taxi.
Guess what! He was on the same flight as me. He just left the airport also and was going to pass in front of the Orientation Camp. He said to me, “They would have charged you well. I would have dropped you off in camp”. It pained me.
First, pray that the Lord make you connect to those who know where you are going in life and destiny early enough. If you connect with them later than expected, you will have paid avoidable prices in life.
Some homes are struggling today simply because the man and the woman have no trainer. They keep struggling through communication and bonding because there is no one to show them how. Many are giving up on God-ordained unions (that is, they started in God’s will) because the journey has become harder. They lack teachers.
Second, it is possible to be in the same space as your teacher and trainer and not recognise them. We sat in the airport. We boarded the same flight. I had his contact, but I did not recognise him. Lord may I not hang around my God-ordained relationships and lack recognition.
I hung around my trainer for almost ten years without the sensitivity of the depth of our relationship. It is still one of the greatest lessons of my life today. If God plants you around the called and the graced who can train you, discern them well. If Elisha did not discern Elijah well, he could have told Elijah that his cloth fell and would have helped him pick it up without realising it was a calling to something higher.
When God wants to help a man, he introduces his teachers in life to him. God introduced Paul to Ananias. God brought Timothy to Paul. God connected Apollos to Aquila and Priscilla. Relationship is a divine currency.
One of the signs of divine help is the blessing of teachers. Teachers help you gain clarity. Teachers show you examples and walk you through class works. They are there to correct you. Many take on the assignments of life without the blessing of teachers. Without examples, assignments become difficult.
Could it be that you are struggling with that ministry work because you lack trainers? Do you have an example provider for your marriage? How will you groom a bride when you have not seen the example? Don’t you think your business will take new leaps to great heights when you have a trainer? Think about it!
The Prophet Isaiah had a prophetic insight into this:
“…yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner anymore, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left”.
Isaiah 30:20-21 KJV
One prayer you should pray at the beginning of new things- a new school, new business, fresh call to Ministry, a new job, a new home, or whatever it is, is “Lord show me my teachers early. Lord, help me connect with them at the right time. May I not have paid heavy prices before I connect with them”.
