THIS IS NO TIME TO PLAY

Early in the morning as we prepared for the day, I called on Danielle to take her bath. She wanted Daddy to start chasing her around and playing. I had to say to her that, “Dear, there is no time. You have to take your bath now”. For Danielle, there was no urgency. For Daddy, a lot was at stake.

One of the dynamics of divine operations that you must master early is time. A child that understands time and its importance has become a man. A man that lacks an awareness of seasons has become a child.

Jesus understood timing. His brothers wanted him to go to Jerusalem to prove that he was also a miracle worker.

But soon it was time for the Jewish Festival of Shelters, and Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, where your followers can see your miracles! You can’t become famous if you hide like this! If you can do such wonderful things, show yourself to the world!” For even his brothers didn’t believe in him. John 7:2‭-‬5 NLT

Did you see those words? “You cannot be famous if you hide like this” and “Show yourself to the world”. May you not be pressured outside of God’s timing for your life. Your assignment in life is not to seek fame; it is to please God. Your aim must not be to show yourself.

Jesus refused. Do you know what Jesus said to them? Jesus replied, “Now is not the right time for me to go, but you can go anytime. You go on. I’m not going to this festival, because my time has not yet come.” John 7:6‭, ‬8 NLT

Never joke with the operation of time in life. David mentioned that it is when a man understands timing that he can apply his heart to wisdom.

Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction. Psalms 90:12 TPT

May the Lord bless you with an awareness of timing. May you not play when you are meant to be at work. May you be sensitive to the timing of life. You will not be a victim of bad decisions.

The devil wants your time to always be available so he can use it. You become an adversary of the devil when you take mastery of your time seriously. You must remember that an idle hand is the devil’s workshop. Master your time. Do not waste it!
