WHEN THE PIZZA DOES NOT COME
I woke up that morning still thinking of the Pizza. I had longed to have some pizza for a while- that is matured hunger and thirst for the taste of pizza.
I struck a deal with a friend coming to Eruwa. I followed up like it was a convert. My friend bought the pizza but guess what, she forgot it locked up in her freezer.
It was an “Oh My God” moment when I realised the pizza did not come.
Then it struck me, what will I do when what I desire from the Lord does not come?
My relationship with my friend did not change because the pizza did not come. I know my friend will even do something bigger and better.
But how many times did we stop studying the Word or praying or serving in the Kingdom or attending Church because God has not shown up with the answer?
If your relationship with God is cheaper than the benefits you desire from God, you are already disadvantaged. I would rather love the giver even when I have not seen the gift.
Crisis are not meant to take you away from the Kingdom of God.
Job lost his wealth, his children, his wife, social status, he stopped getting invites to product launch and wedding ceremonies. He was stuck to dust yet he said to God:
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Job 13:15 KJV
“Though you “forget my pizza” (it can stand for anything you have not seen yet but you trust God for), I will still trust you. I will still love you. I have questions Lord but it is still you I will ask. I have no one else to talk to. I am stuck with you and that is just fine” (Job 13:15a Temi’s version).
If you do not have what you want yet, do not be foolish to do away with who you need- that is God!
There are days the pizza will not come but there must never be a time that your trust in God should be lost.
