DO NOT MISINTERPRET SILENCE
My wife and I have learnt from experience that if there is silence in the house even though our older daughter is awake, we must not get carried away. We would have to check if someone has not turned the taps on in the bathroom or written in the wrong place or turned powder all over her body.
There was a day that she had become shiny. She had rubbed a whole lot of Shea butter on her body. We had to take her for a thorough bath yet the oily effect was still there.
Beloved, silence does not necessarily mean peace. It could mean that the enemy is strategizing and seeking for the finest moment to strike.
After The devil tempted Jesus, the scriptures mentioned that he left Jesus for an opportuned time.
When the devil had finished every temptation, he [temporarily] left Him until a more opportune time.
Luke 4:13 AMP
That completed the testing. The Devil retreated temporarily, lying in wait for another opportunity.
Luke 4:13 MSG
Do not misinterpret silence. You may become carried away by peace that you let down your guards while the enemy is strategizing for war. The Psalmist gave a great perspective to it: I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
Psalms 120:7 KJV
The fact that you pursue peace does not mean that you lose your guard and sensitivity.
Hear what the Psalmist says again: Praise the Lord, my protector! He trains me for battle and prepares me for war.
Psalm 144:1 GNT
Even though we pursue peace, we must be trained for war. There are spiritual warfares that we must be sensitive to. Make sure you stay sensitive. Do not misinterpret silence.
Do you know the man Sisera? Do you know how he died?
In the middle of battle, Sisera ran to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, because Heber’s family was on friendly terms with King Jabin of Hazor.
Judges 4:17 NLT
Jael welcomed him and made him feel at home. She gave him milk instead of the water he requested. She gave him a place to lie and covered him with a blanket. But how did the story end?
But when Sisera fell asleep from exhaustion, Jael quietly crept up to him with a hammer and tent peg in her hand. Then she drove the tent peg through his temple and into the ground, and so he died.
Judges 4:21 NLT
Do not misinterpret silence. Learn to confirm by the Spirit and the Word of God. Do not lose divine signals. Be sensitive.
