MY BROTHER SAW IT ALL
As I stepped out of the bus that evening, I was beaming with smiles as I began the stroll to our house. I smiled the whole trip because I was reading and replying text messages from my lover who just said Yes to me.
A voice calling my name broke into the realm of my excitement and day-dream- it was my brother’s voice. I asked where he was coming from. He laughed and said, “I was in the same bus you just stepped out from. What is wrong with you? You were smiling to yourself in the bus.
Beloved, there are things that happen to you that you cannot conceal. You cannot hide it. You cannot keep it. It is joy that you cannot hide. The joy of salvation is real. A burden leaves your heart and there is a new spring in your steps!
Like the Samaritan woman, you can scream so loud that a whole city is stirred. They look at you and they know that something has changed in you.
Your family and friends know that there is a remarkable difference. If you say Yes to the Lord, everything must reflect it- your talk, walk, dressing, job, relationship, marriage.
This is how the Psalms put it:
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
Psalms 107:2 KJV
So, go ahead—let everyone know it! Tell the world how he broke through and delivered you from the power of darkness
Psalms 107:2
Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.
Psalms 107:2 NLT
When Zacchaeus encountered Christ, there was no need to be begging Zacchaeus to do the right things. True conviction will birth changes.
Since you say you gave your life to Christ and accepted Him as Lord, does your talk, walk, dressing and attitude reflect his Lordship or does it show your fleshly desires?
