10 LESSONS FROM THE YEAR: COUNTDOWN TO 34 (3)
I was working at night when it struck me that we were just about 48 hours to the payment of some monthly bills for the ministry. I had nothing to fear because I knew by pattern that some funds would land. I kept working.
The Lord said to me, “So you now trust your structure and not me”. I paused all I was doing. I repented and began to dance to the Lord.
That month, the structure of supply that I had my hopes on all failed. God opened a new door of supply.
Build systems but trust God. When Israel began to trust their systems, see what happened to them:
See now, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: all supplies of food and all supplies of water,
Isaiah 3:1 NIV
David knew the power of systems but he did not joke with trusting in God.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
Psalms 20:7-8 NIV
Buy chariots. Invest in horses. But the simple rule is “Do not trust in them”. If you do, you will crumble. If your trust is in God, you will rise. You will stand.
