HOW WE KILLED THE SNAKE

We got home on a Sunday after service and our neighbour upstairs mentioned that there was a snake at their door. As he picked a stick to kill it, it found its way around a TV cable and began to find an escape route.

His first strike on it made it drop right to the ground in front of our house. When it did, I picked up stones and aimed for the head. He also ran downstairs to hit it with a stick. We ended up dealing with the snake.

It is the same with the body of Christ, if we all arise and take our place, the devil will not have any space in our midst. You may have a long stick, and another may have a stone, as long as we are focused on dealing the serpent a heavy blow and not pointing accusing fingers at one another, taking over the assignment of the serpent, we would be at rest and we will keep advancing.

We may not all be the same but we all must be bound first by the Love of God. And the love of God must make us rise in defence of our brethren.

Let us fulfil the prophecy of the Lord to Elijah:

It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.
I Kings 19:17 NKJV

And let us be a fulfilment of the prayer of Jesus:

“that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one…” John 17:21‭-‬22 NKJV

Second, never be comfortable with the devil playing games around you. It is an emergency. Many cross over snakes at their door and sit in the house like nothing is happening. If it is not possible in the physical, kindly ensure you do not act like that in the things that have to do with your walk with God also.
