NO MATTER HOW ANOINTED YOU FEEL, NEVER CROSS THE LINES

When I started getting to know the Lord passionately, my dad who was also my pastor as a young man, gave me the chance to share the Word of God. He gave me the privilege of using the worker’s meeting time. I was full of passion but ignorant.

I began to share and “the Holy Ghost took over”, ministrations took a prophetic dimension. I was thoroughly enjoying myself. I used beyond the time allotted to me. I used some portion of service time.

After the service, while I was feeling like an anointed man of God, Dad called me to his office and said “Never use beyond the time you have been given no matter how anointed you feel. You can only make this mistake at home. Do not try it anywhere else”. It was a lesson of a lifetime.

Beloved, you can be anointed and lack discipline. Do not hide under the anointing to misbehave. This is why the anointed needs training. An anointed person who lacks discipline will end up in crisis.

People are attracted to the anointing and you must therefore be careful of the attachments and tendencies that are travel companions of such attractions. As a young man, do not let the attraction from the opposite sex become your trap in the web of lust. Never allow the honour you receive from elders to become the ticket to pride. Be careful.

How do you then live above these tendencies?

• You must know that your sufficiency is of the Lord.

“not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” 2 Corinthians 3:5 KJV

• You must learn to put the body under. Never let the body dictate to you.

“but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I should be a castaway.
” 1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV

• Never despise teachers and corrections. When you respond rightly to correction, you access the key to greater relevance and anointing.

Let the righteous smite me; It shall be a kindness: And let him reprove me; It shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head
Psalm 141:5 KJV

• No matter how anointed you are, do not forget to work on your character. Character is very essential.

Indiscipline can make you lose what the anointing attracted.

The anointing made people give you platforms, indiscipline can make you lose it. The anointing made people respect you but indiscipline can make you lose the respect in a moment. The anointing made you attractive but indiscipline will make you repulsive.
