During my service year, I had the vision to run with what I called “TeensCulture”. It was designed to be a leadership training course for teenagers in a language they would understand. The courses included Leadership for Teens, Moral Excellence, The Power of Vision, Financial Culture for Teens, and Healthy Living for Teens, amongst others. I have highlighted some of my colleagues who I believe could be facilitators.

I went to some of the schools around the state capital and the environs with proposals to train their students. It did not take off eventually. But I caught the boldness to pursue a vision.

Long story short, in the first year of ministry, we started a social project called ‘Project Next’ which we are still running today for teenagers in our community.

This is the season of your life to kill the lion and the bear without announcing it. Very soon, the giants will show up and you will realise that you have been prepared for such moments.

Boldness is a major asset in the journey of life. You cannot live life like a coward. The world makes way for the man who knows where he is going, and he is ready to pursue it.

There was a time when I was speaking to teenagers. I raised a thousand-naira bill and I asked, ” Who wants this money?” They kept screaming, “I want it”. The more they shouted, the more I asked the same question.

Eventually, one of them was bold enough to run to the platform. He collected the money from me. I smiled and explained to them that they all desired the money but the person who pursued it was the one who got it.

Listen beloved, the proof of desire is pursuit. If you desire it, show us by your audacious actions. Be bold. You cannot afford to sit down daydreaming. The only way dreams come to pass is to turn it into a project.

No matter what you end up doing in life- career, business, or ministry, you will realise that boldness is the backbone. You will be bold as you market yourself and your skills to organisations. You need boldness to start and sustain a profitable business.

If you are a born-again child of God, you must be as bold as a lion. Every part of a lion is a lion. You are now a part of the lion of the tribe of Judah. Be bold.

But the righteous are bold as a lion.

Proverbs 28:1 KJV

Maintain eye contact when you have conversations. Stop looking weak. Shake hands firmly. Stop shaking hands with the tip of your fingers. Work on your appearance. It helps your carriage. Dump this habit of wearing bathroom slippers all over the place. Cultivate excellence. We have a creed in our ministry. The last line says, “I love excellence and I do not settle for less”.
