DO NOT EXPLAIN AWAY THAT PROBLEM
During my early years, Mum was a regular participant at the Annual Holy Ghost Convention in the city of Ibadan. She would travel to be a part of the meeting. One year, she returned from the meeting and found her three children sick. We were all running a fever.
Mum did not sit down and blame herself for leaving us behind. She did not think first of what kind of medicine we would need. I remember the fire in her voice when she began to rebuke the sickness and commanded healing. She would say, “I am back, and sickness is not permitted in this house”. All three of us recovered all at once. She took authority over her space.
Let me start with parents: Let your children see proof that God answers prayers. Let them know early enough that our God heals, provides and protects. It strengthens their faith. Till date, no one can talk me out of the truth that “God does miracles”.
Beloved, stop explaining away what you are meant to rebuke. There are things that you should never accommodate. Never accept as mere circumstance what you are meant to treat as resistance. Never think anything is a coincidence when you are meant to cut off the flow of the enemy. Let discernment drive your life.
If you are the one who first got to know the Lord in your family, you are God’s ambassador in your home. Make sure you are not just explaining things away. Be their Daniel.
What do I mean?
When Nebuchadnezzar got angry with the wise men of Babylon, he sent out the executioner, Arioch, to carry out his commands to kill the wise men and their family members. When he got to Daniel, the command was placed on hold when Daniel spoke to the King. The situation was turned around.
Listen, there are times you must announce to every demonically sponsored challenge that, “Temiloluwa is here. Things are not permitted to go wrong around you”. Draw a line of mercy by the power of the blood of Jesus and declare an end immediately.
Be the voice of redemption. When things look terrible, do not keep quiet:
Job 33:22-24 NKJV
[22] Yes, his soul draws near the Pit, and his life to the executioners.[23] “If there is a messenger for him, A mediator, one among a thousand, to show man His uprightness,[24] Then He is gracious to him, and says,‘Deliver him from going down to the Pit; I have found a ransom’;
In your family, be the messenger of God. Be that mediator. Be that one among a thousand. Make sure that the turnaround begins because you prayed.
Declare boldly: ____ (put your name) is here. Nothing is permitted to go wrong around me. Now, command the trouble to cease and declare the outcome you desire. Draw the line of mercy.
Stop explaining away warfare. Bring that giant down!
