HOW TO BREAK PATTERNS (2)

HOW TO BREAK PATTERNS (2)

I have a dear brother who is also a pastor. I would say to him that “Every time we talk, prejudices are shattered and light comes for things I need to get done. Passion is also reignited”.

We would share on our ministry journey and every time I am done speaking with him, I just have an unusual hunger to do more.

Friends, if you want to break patterns, you may need to change company. If the company you keep has accepted the lies of the devil, you will become a slave to such lies.

Be deliberate about the company you keep. Do not keep company with those who excuse smallness, failure and mediocrity. Break camp fast if you want to see changes and experience growth in life.

You are the average of the five closest people to you. The person who has access to your life through your ears is a massive influence on you already. Such a company must be carefully selected.

Do not keep company with low thinkers and expect to be a high flier. You may be the best among low thinkers but what a rank!

Who are your tank fillers? What do they fill your tank with? Faith or fear? Political news or fuel for vision? Do you have men you speak with and light burst forth in you? When you are celebrating an achievement, do you have those who celebrate with you but would not allow you to settle down in what has been achieved?

I remember when I was rejoicing over a feat once, a dear mentor said to me, “We thank God that is done already. So Pastor Temi, what next?” I went blank. That day, I learnt that a man can stay rejoicing over what God did yesterday while God has moved on to what is next.

Be challenged.

Do not keep company with those who compete with you. No! Do life with those who desire to see you grow into greatness.

Hear the Word of the Lord:

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
Proverbs 13:20 NKJV

You are a direct reflection of the company you keep. If you want to break that pattern, change that company.

There is love in sharing
