IF YOU ARE NURSING A VISION

IF YOU ARE NURSING A VISION

One of her dear daughters in the faith had a baby. She was not in the same city as we were in. One evening, Irewamiri decided to call and check up on her some weeks after. The moment she asked, “Dear, how are you?”, this precious one burst into tears. She was sobbing profusely on the call. “Mama, you are the first person asking after my welfare. It is tough. It has been hectic. I did not know certain things. I did not know breastfeeding could also be demanding”. It seems she had just been waiting for the perfect moment to speak. We also apologised because we realised that we had not prepared her mind for some of the post-natal challenges.

Let me begin with a counsel and something we practice: A lot of people buy gifts for a new child. We focus on buying more for the mother of the child. I have seen mothers neglected while the new baby gets all the attention. It is always unintentional. Birthing a seed takes a toll on you – physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. If you are the father of a new child, please prioritise your wife. Do not get distracted by the new addition.

There is a new mother reading this now: Depression has no grip on your mind. I speak wholeness over your mind now. I rebuke that string of strange thoughts. You will live to nurse your seed in health and joy. You bounce back in to strength now. As you read this, let joy erupt supernaturally within you. You are restored now

Raising a vision is not a joke in any way. Vision will place a demand on you. If you are not ready to pay the price of feeding the vision, you are not ready for the journey. If it is a ministry call, you must be ready to eat for the journey is long. You must be ready to invest your all. As a minister, you feed for a generation. There is a generational pull on you. You cannot just be eating for yourself. You just be well nourished. Ministry is an overflow. You cannot serve a generation from an empty tank.

A dear one mentioned a business that did not make any profit for the first ten years. The visioner and his partners believed in the vision so much that they kept pumping their all into it. Today, there is a massive turnaround.

Vision will stretch you. It will place a demand on everything you carry. Do not give up. You can finish well

”But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!“ John 12:50 KJV

Passion needs fuel to burn efficiently. Your schedule will change. Your routine must change. You cannot go everywhere or do just as you want again. There is now a demand on you. Draw strength daily for vision.
