IT IS CHRISTMAS- CONQUER YOUR FEARS
It was the Christmas season. I was on holiday with my grand uncle. As they moved the birds (hen and turkey) into the van, I attempted to sneak away. All my life, I have had the fear of those birds. A mother hen had chased me before as a child. Aside from that, my parents did not raise birds. I could not carry one, let alone kill it. So, sneaking away was my best option.
The voice of my grand-uncle invaded the thoughts of escaping, “Spencer, carry that bird now”. I was shaking. He would not excuse my fears. That was the first time in my life that I carried a bird, not even a hen; I carried one turkey. That fear was conquered.
As we celebrate this season, I want you to know that Jesus came so that your fears can be gone. The life of Jesus has set you free from fear.
You do not have to be afraid of the future – He has the future in His hands.
You do not have to be afraid of failure- in redemption, you enjoy the mind of Christ
You do not have to be afraid of the devil and his demons- He conquered hell and the grave
You do not have to be under the fear of death- He holds the key to hell and death.
One of the reasons why He came is to set you free from the trap of fear:
“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.”
Hebrews 2:14-15 NLT
He broke the power of the devil.
He came to set you free.
You are no longer a slave to fear.
Walk free!
Live free!
