PASTOR, I COULD NOT SLEEP
A dear one had a huge surprise of a massive gift some time ago. The next day, he said to me, “Pastor, I could not sleep. I did not know how to tell people that things changed just in one night”. I smiled.
God is a God of surprises. He has surprises in store for you this season. Those who have seen God shown up before, know what the Lord is capable of doing.
The Psalmist must have seen God at work when He wrote:
When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.
Psalms 126:1-3 NKJV
The first miracle of Jesus was a major surprise also. The first man who tasted the miracle had this to say:
When the host tasted the water that had become wine (he didn’t know what had just happened but the servants, of course, knew), he called out to the bridegroom, “Everybody I know begins with their finest wines and after the guests have had their fill brings in the cheap stuff. But you’ve saved the best till now!”
John 2:9-10 MSG
God does not do cheap stuff! He keeps giving the best.
Can I say to you this season that while you are rejoicing over one, another one will happen. It will be a season of surprises all around you.
Hear the prophecy of Amos: “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look blessings!”
Amos 9:13 MSG
Get ready for the miracle. Dance in advance. Stay in faith. Pray. When we pray, sweet coincidences happen. Pleasant surprises will ring on every side.
