SACRIFICES HAVE A VOICE
I got a call from one of the young men I had pastored in the land of Eruwa to kindly come and minister in the church where he is now. I already told him “No” because of the personal rules I had given myself for the season about ministering outside.
The next day the Lord began to remind me of how it was the young man who used his camera to cover a lot of church events in our early days. I remembered his sacrifices and changed my mind. I told him, “Your sacrifices spoke. I cannot disregard the voice of sacrifice”.
Friends, sacrifice has a voice. We must never forget the labour of people in our life, marriage, career and ministry. Those who forget sacrifices have acted unjustly.
The sacrifice of Solomon had a loud voice that God had to ask Solomon, “What do you want? Ask and I will give it to you” (1 Kings 3:5). David was not a man to forget people’s sacrifices. Even though Jonathan was dead, he was still seeking ways to honour his sacrifice for him and he sure did!
God honoured the sacrifice of Abel. It was called an excellent sacrifice. The honour speaks even to date (Heb. 11:4).
God himself said that he does not forget labours of love.
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shown toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Hebrews 6:10 KJV
Sacrifices speak. As much as we do not serve so we could then turn it to a justification to make a demand someday, God sure knows how to bring up our sacrifices just at the right time when we need it the most.
The sacrifice of Mordecai was remembered when the Jews were being threatened by Haman. He was promoted just at the right time to foil the evil plan.
Hear me this day- Your labours are not forgotten. Do not let the devil mislead you. Do not refrain from making kingdom sacrifices. Some day, surely it will speak.
