WHAT WAS POINTED TO BUT YOU DID NOT SEE? (The Law of Recognition)
I had known my spiritual father since 1995. Thank God for the godly heritage and amazing parents who build bridges that their children would return to enjoy. I had opportunities to sit with him a couple of times before 2011 that I stepped into ministry full time.
However, for years, I did not recognise the spiritual inheritance available for me in that relationship until the Lord revealed him to me. I had access but lacked revelation. You can have access and get nothing. God showed me why I must follow him. I failed at the early stages but I keep getting better.
“Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.” John 1:35-37 KJV
This was not the first time that John would point to Jesus. He did at his Baptism. John had always made it clear that he was not the light but a pointer and forerunner to the light. He made it clear in sermons in the wilderness and queries from inquisitive enquirers.
When he pointed out Jesus as the one he had always spoken about, two of his disciples heard and did not just stop there, they followed Jesus.
Friends, what has been pointed to but you do not see? What has been shown at different times in your life but you still do not recognize? You can sit at the gateway to your inheritance and still not see it.
One of the things that you must ask for in prayers is the removal of veils. If the veil is not removed, recognition can be distorted and intimacy hindered. You can hang around your God-ordained spouse as a friend and cry in vain. You can stay with your Pastor in destiny and see him casually.
Access is not the only thing needed to draw inheritance. A slave can access the room of his master but it takes a son to draw inheritances from the father.
Men will not bless you with things until recognition is settled. The Queen of Sheba came with many things to visit Solomon but she did not give any until recognition was settled.
“I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard half of it! Your wisdom and prosperity are far beyond what I was told. Then she gave the king a gift of 9,000 pounds of gold, great quantities of spices, and precious jewels. Never again were so many spices brought in as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon”
1 Kings 10:7, 10 NLT
She did not give until she said, “I have seen it with my own eyes”. You can hear and not believe. But when you see, everything changes. In the name of Jesus, enter into the season of early and awakened spiritual awareness of people, places and moments.
