UNTIL YOU SEE A BETTER EXAMPLE

I needed a hair cut so badly so I visited the barbershop. As he did some finishing, the clipper scraped the flesh at the back of my neck- I reacted fast! Some years back, I would have thought it was normal to visit a barbershop and return with “tribal marks”. That was always the experience.

But I had visited a barbershop out of town where I had a smooth haircut without any pains at all. My out-of-town experience made me know that I had been suffering in silence.

Friend, until you see a better example, you will think a bad example is a norm. Many folks have seen dysfunctional marriages that the fear of getting married is as real as the daylight.

Faith is not stirred by fear; it is stirred by good examples.

In this season where bad news comes at a click, you cannot afford to joke with the good news (gospel).

If you are too used to the substandard, it can become your standard.

Friend, you need to have faith-filled friends and examples who have seen God do awesome things and can stir faith in you.

If you get a sack letter even though you gave your best to a job, remember Joseph was sacked by Potiphar for the wrong reasons and it turned out for his good.

If you have all it takes to be in a position but the situation you are in does not reflect the potential you have, remember that David was in the wilderness even though he was anointed to be king.

Exposure to a great example will relieve you of the pains of a bad example.

Remember, Jesus is such an awesome example. Look to Him today. You can never be put to shame.

We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
Hebrews 12:2 TPT

Stop looking at bad examples! It will stir fear and not faith!
