HOW TO BREAK PATTERNS (3)

I had a struggle in my mind whether to be vulnerable with my friend or not. I was at a point where I knew I had to make great financial decisions to live a great life. I did not want to appear like I did not know what I was doing.

I eventually told myself that I was better off asking and learning. I asked my friend, “Brother, I need to learn one or two things from you about financial Intelligence. Would you be glad to help me?” That day, I had one of the finest informal training on personal and family finance.

Do not package your failure. Do not package your inadequacy. Time will always expose such folly. There will always be that pressure to put up an appearance. Do not fall for it.

Let me ask- Which is better- The benefit of admitting your ignorance or the failure that eventually announces your ignorance? If you pretend today like you know what you are doing, time will surely show the difference between you and the person who has chosen to learn.

Do not package your failure or ignorance. Expose it by asking questions from those who know. “I don’t know” is not a weakness. It is a major step out of ignorance. A man who admits his limitation is ready for a life of impartation.

If you are struggling with your personal finance, go and seek counsel from those who have mastered it. Ask the right person the right questions and you would be on your way out of limiting factors especially when you develop the right mindset.

If your marriage is not working, do not pretend like it is. Be vulnerable to admit that is not working.

Apostle Peter makes us know that “God gives grace to the humble”

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
I Peter 5:5 NKJV

It begins with submission. Vulnerability is a major part of the submission. Then, you must be clothed with humility and then grace is supplied. Do not covet grace for what you are not humble enough to learn.
