CALLED BUT STRANDED 3 (A SERIES ON THE CALLING)
One morning I got a call and it was followed with a huge alert in my account. The moment I saw it, I knew it was not the kind of seed you eat. I transferred it to the ministry. Days later, I saw the note of the transfer stating “for your personal use” but still I know that there are things you must not consume.
See this: “But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”
Genesis 2:16-17 NLT
Beloved, there are things you can freely eat but there are things you must never touch. Ministry money is not your money. Set boundaries. It keeps you from falling off the cliff.
The called must heed this warning- Do not be greedy. If you are greedy and you want more than what God has given or supplied, you will end up in trouble.
Nothing grows or multiplies on the ground of the greedy. Greed chokes gratitude. Where gratitude is lacking, greatness is hindered.
Greed will cry over wants even when needs are met. Greed will not give so it will never attract the men who can lift the call. Greed will overcompensate itself and say “Where were you when I was suffering for the work?”
Paul warned Timothy about this: “So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.”
1 Timothy 6:8-9 NLT
My Pastor would insist that there was no way he would have two cars when one of his associates had none.
Never use the seed that should feed the vision to feed your greed.
