DO NOT BUILD RESISTANCE

As I got to the car that morning, I picked a prompt in my spirit man to pray. I said a word of prayer and got into the car. A prayer burden was already on me as I drove for the trip.

I tend to drive faster when I am praying behind the wheels. At a point, just before a bend, the Spirit of the Lord said, “Slow Down now”. I did. As I got round the bend, I realised that I would have run into a herd of cattle if I had not reduced the speed. God preserved my life.

Never joke with prompts that you pick in your spirit even when they do not look normal. It may not make any sense but do not take it for granted.

Has it ever happened to you before that the words that came out of your mouth after an incidence are “And something told me o”. That was not something, that was someone. It was the Spirit of the Lord communicating with you.

God desires to instruct and teach you. He wants to guide you:

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Psalms 32:8 NKJV

However, you must ensure that you are sensitive to His divine leading and prompts. Do not build resistance. Make sure you are yielding to His prompts.

Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you.
Psalms 32:9 NKJV

The person who does not yield to divine prompts can end up in sorrow but the one who turns and yields to him will enjoy the mercy of the Lord.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.
Psalms 32:10 NKJV

You will go through things and you will indeed say that it is by the mercies of the Lord that you are not consumed. You will see that it is the Lord that was indeed by your side.
