GOD SPOKE THROUGH OLIVE

Olive was lying beside me. She had been sleeping for a couple of hours. When she woke up, turned and sat down, the first thing she picked up was her mum’s Bible that was beside her.

It did not strike me until the Lord spoke to my heart through that action- “Never stop having a heart like this. Let my word be the first thing that you go for when you wake up”.

These are sensitive seasons. We are in the days when the fear of missing out (FOMO) is so real. You are faster to check up updates online than updates in the spirit.

We are like Saul. When Jonathan invaded the Philistines camp, Saul and his men heard the noise where they were. Saul then called for the Priest so he could enquire of the Lord. But what he did next is what we do today:

“Bring the ephod here,” Saul said to Ahijah the priest. (On that day Ahijah was carrying it in front of the people of Israel.) As Saul was speaking to the priest, the confusion in the Philistine camp kept getting worse, so Saul said to him, “There’s no time to consult the Lord !”
1 Samuel 14:18‭-‬19 GNT

Are you led by the Lord or by the confusion and the noise? The excuse of Saul is still out excuse today, “There is no time to consult the Lord”.

The season will reveal that it is not about the lack of time; it is more about the lack of reverence and refusal to determine our priority.

This season, take note of what you are becoming. This is your time to break the backbone of prayerlessness and lukewarmness. There is a siege on men but make sure that you live above it.

How can you do this? By ensuring that you are focused on God and what He is doing in you. Do not be led by the noise. How do you focus on God? Give attention to His Word and Prayer.
