HER WORD CAME AT THE END OF SERVICE

I was already done preaching in church. I only returned to say the blessing over the church when I said, “That accommodation challenge is solved this week”.

The team receiving first-timers brought feedback that there was one of the persons coming to church for the first time who had a pressing accommodation challenge. She had been sleeping in her office. God brought her a word at the close of service.

Beloved, never rate a part of a church service or meeting greater than the other. We seem to have a developed a subconscious attitude that rates some parts of service as “the time for God to move” while we underrate other moments.

You even calculate when Pastor would be preaching and then get to church late.

We must endeavour to be a supernatural church- a gathering of believers who know that the smile of an usher can cure depression and a moment in our convenience can get rid of sicknesses and diseases.

If you serve in the church, there is no insignificant part in service to God. Every thing must be done supernaturally even when skill is involved. Let grace rest upon your skill.

David was skilful in harp playing. He was also anointed enough to cast out evil spirits as he strung the harp. Your service must not be skillfully casual. It must be done supernaturally.

Finally, Ezekiel told us the impact of ministry that is done supernaturally (Ministry here is a reference to service).

“On July 31 of my thirtieth year, while I was with the Judean exiles beside the Kebar River in Babylon, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God. (The Lord gave this message to Ezekiel son of Buzi, a priest, beside the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians, and he felt the hand of the Lord take hold of him.)”
Ezekiel 1:1‭, ‬3 NLT

They were all meant to be exiles but he had a supernatural experience. When we become conscious of His presence and power rather than get lost in routine:

The heavens are opened.
We come to visions of God.
The Word of The Lord comes speedily. There is utterance.
The Hand of the Lord rests upon us.

And with such a person or ministry, great things happen.

There is nothing you do in the house of the Lord that must be casually done. There is no part of a service that is casual- the smile of an usher, the hit of the drum, the chords of the piano, the benediction must all be moments of divine encounter.

Be sensitive. Be conscious. Be intentional.
