HOW TO ACCESS PEACE (3)
That afternoon in 2011, a well-respected man who was genuinely concerned about my decision to go to Eruwa for ministry asked me, “Temi, but how are you going to survive? You will need money for yourself, and when you get married, you will need much more. How will you do it?”
I could pick the fear and concern in his tone. Truly, I had been at that phase also. I had questions that I asked the Lord. I had come to a point of total trust in God.
My answer was simple: “Sir, I know you would not ask this question if I told you I got a job in a law firm, maybe a bank or a multinational. I appreciate the love, sir. Daddy, if men remember to pay their employees at the end of each month, I have complete trust in the Lord that He would do the same for me.”
That trust in the Lord was my direct ticket to peace. My heart was not troubled in any way. I knew that the Lord would do what He said He would do.
The Psalmist said those who trust the Lord cannot be moved.
Psalms 125:1 NKJV
[1] Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
In those days, when anyone asks me, “Where do you work?” I tell them that I work for the largest corporation in the world. They would smile and wonder what I meant. Some would guess. Then, I would drop the bombshell with all smiles. Why? It pays to serve God.
I had no worries. I built a culture of trust. Beloved, build a culture of absolute trust in God. You will enjoy the great peace that comes with it.
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
[3] You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Sing that song by Kaestring:
Yes, I’m glad; my heart is calm
You’re my peace
I can’t be moved like Zion’s hill
My faith is still
Oh, yes, I’m glad; my heart is calm
You’re my peace
I can’t be moved like Zion’s hill
My faith is still
Trust in the Lord. He has never failed before. You cannot be a failed project. Do not let anxiety take over.
