I CAN’T FIND “RAINBOW”

I CAN’T FIND “RAINBOW”

Just after midnight, I was just settling down to spend some time in prayers and study the Word when I heard the shuffling of tiny feet and an attempt to open a door. I stood up and approached the door to the girls’ room.

As I opened the door, I saw Danielle half awake right behind it. I asked, “Baby, is all well? Why are you awake?” She said to me, “I cannot find ‘rainbow'” I was in awe. I simply said, “Go back to sleep”.

Who is Rainbow? “Rainbow” is the most senior of all the teddy bears at home. I had a good smile.

It dawned on me that this is why a believer needs not to live in worry- a five-year-old wakes up to check on a teddy bear but our God does not slumber or sleep.

Was this the secret of David that gave him so much rest in crisis? David went through tough times. He had moments when even trusted people tried to kill him but he survived it all.

I lift my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.  Psalms 121:1 – 8 NIV

You are not on your own. There is nothing happening around you now that can swallow you. Hear this- Do not allow the devil to keep you in that dark corner of sorrow or discouragement. Push him off. The hand of God is stretched towards you. Tap into grace. Leave the ring and let the Lord take it over.

A mother may forget her suckling child but God will never abandon you. You are the helped of the Lord. God has healed that person who has been struggling with lack of sleep (Insomnia). Sleep like a baby from now. Glory to God.

Rejoice. Rest, and again I say Rejoice!
