IF YOU ARE STARTING A NEW SEASON 2

A dear mentor told the story of a young man who was resuming for the very first time in their school. He walked into the class, paused for a moment at the front of the classroom, scanned the class and then chose to walk to the back of the class. The new student chose a company that day that wrecked his life forever. He was a good boy. He ended up hooked on drugs and in prison.

If you are starting a new season, you must be sensitive and prayerful. One of the tactics of the devil is to infiltrate a vision while it is still in its infant stage. You must be sensitive enough to pray in people and pray out people. There are all kinds of people who want to join your journey; you must be cautious enough to discern who must not be a part of you.

The demon-possessed girl could have ended up as the outreach and evangelism coordinator of the new church of Phillipi, but thanks to the sensitivity of Paul. Do you know that a mixed multitude followed the Israelites out of Egypt? They caused quite some trouble on their journey to the promised land. If you are not prayerful, you will journey with strange friends and strange sons.

You must pray this Psalm of David:

Psalm 144:11-14 KJV

Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: [12] That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: [13] That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: [14] That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

Strange partners occupy the space ordained for destiny friends and partners, yet they make no contribution to your journey. Strange partners hinder progress. Strange partners destroy the unity of the vision. They weaken the vision. Pray them out.
