NOT LESS THAN FULL-TIME COMMITMENT
It will be eight years that the church began in Eruwa. In the middle of decision making, a beloved one said to me, “Temi, it is better you find a job in Ibadan or Lagos and then visit Eruwa for ministry once a month. When Eruwa is big enough to get your absolute attention, you will then move fully to Eruwa”.
It was an enticing option. But the Lord responded through a meeting. The minister said, “There is someone here that the Lord has called into an assignment. You are planning to put one foot in and a foot out. Let me show you what will happen”
He told the story of Peter (then known as Simon) and Jesus. When Jesus told Peter after toiling all night, he said to Peter:
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
Luke 5:4 KJV
(Kindly note the plural form of net)
When Peter would respond, he said: Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

When he did this, guess what happened: And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

The Minister said, “God will never give you harvest that will bring losses. Your disobedience is what will bring the loss. The net would not have broken if Simon Peter had walked fully in obedience by throwing in the nets”.
The insight shook me. I knew it was settled that evening.
Paul told Timothy, “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”
1 Timothy 4:15 KJV
Beloved, a part-time commitment cannot produce a full-time result. You cannot run the vision of God with the mindset of a side hustle- it will not work.
If God has called you to give yourself wholly to a vision, do it boldly. You cannot build a great house with the mindset of a visitor. You cannot build a lasting vision with a temporary mindset.
God is still calling men aside to a full-time assignment for Himself- let no one tell you otherwise. My charge to you will be- Be sure to carry out the assignment God has committed into your hands with complete obedience. Make sure you are not lazy.
Others may work on a job where there are human supervisors with human limitations. If God is your employer, you have an employer who sees beyond the act into your heart. He does not sleep or slumber. He knows if you are working or just lounging.
Give your all to whatever you have been assigned to do.
