THE BLESSING OF A FATHER IS A DOOR OPENER

THE BLESSING OF A FATHER IS A DOOR OPENER

As I was about to leave the office of my grandfather in the faith, he said to me, “Son, has anyone blessed you in foreign currencies before?” I replied in the negative. He then opened up his bag, enveloped some foreign currencies and handed it over to me backed up with these words, “From today, I command foreign currencies to come to you”.

I was smart enough to give that first one as a seed. Subsequently and graciously, a great flow of foreign currencies began to open up. Some even came with apologies that “It is small” but it was quite huge in my sight.

Beloved, no matter how much a generation despises fathers and seed-sowing, some scriptures cannot be broken. There are kingdom principles that will stand forever. A true father is a door opener! They open doors to greater things.

There is a place of discipline and diligence. Both will take you to great heights. However, there is also the place of the blessing of a Father that sustains you and brings you into an inheritance.

One of the devil’s greatest attacks is on the spirit of sonship. When he showed up on the scene to tempt Jesus, do you remember his first question: “If you be the son of God…” That tells you his priority.

He knows when there is a hedge built between a son and his father, curses will have a free course.

And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6 NKJV

One way he attacks sonship is also by attacking your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. When you begin to take other things as a priority while you disregard your fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you will enter into the spirit and operations of an orphan. You will begin to behave like an orphan.

One key reason why we have the spirit of God as stated by Jesus is to confirm to us that we are sons of the Lord.

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:16 – 18 NKJV

Do not let the devil rob you of the Father’s blessing. Do not allow offense. Never stay in strife. If you do, you will be operating on one wing. You will live life on one leg.
