THE WAY DANIELLE WOKE UP
It was a hectic season and we had to wake up the kids pretty early to prepare them as we had to leave home early. Danielle was still quite sleepy and struggling to wake up.
When I woke her up, the first thing she said was, “Where is my Aunt ?” I looked at her mum and her mum said, “Oh! she slept off in the hands of Aunt yesterday”
Beloved, how you end your night determines how you start your day. Do you know that in the story of creation, it was always “and the evening and the morning were the first day” (it was some till the sixth day)?
Why does the evening have to come before the morning? The way you end the day has a solid role to play in how you start the next. Yesterday has a bridge connected to today.
If you end the day in anger, you will start the next day in anger also. That is why Paul charged that we must not allow the sun to go down on our anger.
Make sure you close all accounts before you sleep. Do not go to bed hurt. Do not end the day with an unforgiven act. When you close each day in joy, you are already a step ahead of the devil. You have the advantage. Do not allow the devil to cheat you.
Never begin the day complaining. Take a moment to think about this: “If you have an 8 am appointment with the Governor of your State and your neighbour sees you at 6 am as you are about stepping out and wants to pick a fight with you, what will you say or do?” You will shun him. Why? There are greater things ahead.
In the same way, do not allow things hinder starting your day with joy. Joy is your right. Let nothing tell you otherwise.
My teacher once taught me it is good to make a list of what you would do the next day before you go to bed. Why? If you go to sleep with a mission, you will wake up with a vision.
