THREE AREAS TO BUILD FAITH IF YOU ARE CALLED (PART 2)

THREE AREAS TO BUILD FAITH IF YOU ARE CALLED (PART 2)

I returned to my office that afternoon and met a note with a phone number attached. It was from one of my teenage mates in our local assembly. I reached out, and he paid another visit.

He said, “I was praying on my birthday. God told me you were in Eruwa and I should come and see you”. While I was wondering why God sent someone to me, I asked him what his plans were. He mentioned that he wanted to head to Lagos to attend training on how to speak. Afterward, I shared with him the vision for the work in Eruwa. He ended up not going to Lagos. Today, he is a pastor in this vision.

After building your faith in the caller (God), you must build faith in the calling (the assignment that the Lord has given you). If you do not have faith in the calling, it will not produce maximally.

Never sound or speak like your calling and assignment is an apology. Hold on! If the President of your Country sent you to a town, would you go like an apology? Never. You would go with confidence.

Be proud of your calling. There is no small calling. Be proud of it. If you are called to make the work of your pastor easier through the ministry of helps, be proud of it. If you are called to the farthest part of the world for missions, you are God’s own ambassador. Be proud of the calling.

Build faith in the assignment and build faith for the assignment. Build faith in the location you have been sent. Build faith in the people you are also sent. Take your place there with confidence.

There was a time when I could not tell anyone I was in Eruwa. I was not confident. The Lord helped me. I began to add “Eruwa” to text messages and devotional writings. I owned it so much that someone called one day to ask me, “Am I speaking to Pastor Eruwa?” I responded in the affirmative. A place you despise will not produce the harvest for you. An assignment you despise cannot bless you.

Look at Apostle Paul:

For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

Galatians 2:8 NIV

Paul also told Timothy to be confident:

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV

He took pride in the assignment:

I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry

Romans 11:13 NIV

When you build faith in your assignment, it impacts everyone. It lights up the spirit of others also. There are some who will wake up to their own calling also. Have faith in the assignment!
