WILL YOU STILL BE USABLE?
We ordered for some meat. It was delivered earlier in the day. By the time we got home, we were pretty tired. We left the raw meat in a bowl in the kitchen with the intent to boil it.
In a bid to catch a rest, we slept off. I woke up about two hours later and discovered that the meat was still there. I had to keep it in the freezer till daybreak. If we had both slept off till morning, the meat would no longer be in a useful and edible state.
One of the major priorities that you must have in life is to ensure that you are always in a state that your destiny demands. The aim of the devil is to load your life with so much distractions, challenges and problems that by the time destiny beckons, you are no longer in a usable state.
For instance, the prophecy of Isaiah is:
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! THE VIRGIN will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). Isaiah 7:14 NLT
God did not just use Mary because she was available. Mary was used by God because she remained in a state that the prophecy’s fulfilment demanded. What if Joseph and Mary had been committing fornication? What if they had caved in to the demands of their flesh? Mary would no longer have been in a state for the fulfilment of that prophecy.
Friend, do not let the devil load your life with issues that will limit the expression of God’s plan for your life. You will wake up and desire to enter into divine destiny but the baggage would have become too heavy.
Mercy can speak but you will not always be in a usable state. If Mary had messed up even if mercy spoke, she can never fit into that divine arrangement again. Another would have to take her place.
Live your life at the highest level that your destiny demands. Push. Exert yourself. The worst weapons of the devil is not confrontation it is infiltration. When the devil cannot stop you by opposing you, he stops you by joining you. You will not discover until it is late and the damage is already done.
Do you know what Nehemiah told those who kept calling him off the demands that his assignment required?
“I am engaged in a great work, so I can’t come. Why should I stop working to come and meet with you?” Four times they sent the same message, and each time I gave the same reply. Nehemiah 6:3-4 NLT
You better engage yourself in the fullness of the demand of your life and destiny. Stop playing around thinking I will return to do it. By then, you may not be in a shape that will be useful for the effective execution of the demands of divinity.
Do you know why we take career more serious than calling? We keep lying to ourselves that we can always come back to pick the call. You pursue career because of age limits. May it not be too late when you decide to pursue destiny.
If I had pursued the other plans I had, I would likely not be in Eruwa today doing what I do. You will not be reading this today. There is a height of comfort you can attain that it will become difficult to pursue the high call of God for your life. You will keep asking, “Where will I start from?”
