WISDOM AND HONOUR; CANCELS DELAY

WISDOM AND HONOUR; CANCELS DELAY

He came to me right after a meeting with a seed in his hands to give to me. I had a prompt to ask, “When last did you send anything to your parents?” He was surprised. He said, “It has been a while”. “Do you send them things regularly?” I queried. He said, “I only do when they ask”. I told him, “Send this seed to them”.

He thanked me. He obeyed the instruction. The next day, he came back smiling. There was an issue that he had been discussing with his parents without making any headway at all. Now, it was his parents that raised the issue and began to make positive moves about it after almost a year. The delay was cancelled. The matter was resolved. Why? He began to show honour.

Dishonour can be the reason for the delay in life and destiny. When things are not well with you, you need to check whether you have been walking in honour or dishonour.

“Honour your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:2‭-‬3 NKJV

Look around you now: Are you at the level you desire? Is all well with you? If not, kindly check your heart and confirm if indeed you honour your parents.

The blessing of parents is a door opener in life. Jacob on his death bed called his sons together and said to them:

Then Jacob called for his sons and said, “Assemble yourselves [around me] that I may tell you what will happen to you and your descendants in the days to come”.
Genesis 49:1 AMP

When Jacob was leaving home, Isaac blessed him:

May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you, so that you may become a [great] company of peoples. May He also give the blessing of Abraham to you and your descendants with you, that you may inherit the [promised] land of your sojournings, which He gave to Abraham.”
Genesis 28:3‭-‬4 AMP

This was the testimony of Jacob years later:

I am not worthy of all the unfailing love and faithfulness you have shown to me, your servant. When I left home and crossed the Jordan River, I owned nothing except a walking stick. Now my household fills two large camps!
Genesis 32:10 NLT

When he left home, all he had was a waking stick. Now, his household has multiplied. It can fill two large camps. What a testimony.

Deal with your parents with wisdom and honour. Do not despise the blessing on their lips. Provoke it with your conduct as a son and a daughter. Send them gifts periodically.

When Jacob saw the cargo of gifts that Joseph sent from Egpyt, the soul of Israel was revived. Good news and generosity lift the souls. Try it! You will hear some prayers that you did not know were there.

May the Lord bless you.
May honour colour you.
May you be fruitful.
