YOU ARE EIGHT CENTIMETRES GONE!
As we drove to the hospital that morning, we both had a silent request that we did not share with one another- we wanted the dilation in labour to be rapid. We had been confessing it for months.
Right after the first check, the nurse announced to us, “You are eight centimetres gone”. Even though the baby had not arrived, it was good news that strengthened our faith. My wife actually held my hands and said, “Thank you Lord” in the midst of the labour pangs.
There is power of good news on the journey of faith. A positive sign that your long-awaited desire would soon be birthed lifts the soul.
It happens exactly as it did for Jacob when he saw the wagon that Joseph sent from Egypt.
“And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived” Genesis 45:27 KJV
There are things you see that revive the spirit. In the name of Jesus, your expectation becomes a testimony. Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Receive good news that lifts a sick heart this season.
And I want to say to someone who is close to birthing a vision- you are already eight centimetres gone. Entertain no fear. Reject discouragement. All that you have carried in your heart, you will see in your hands.
If you can just exercise that little patience, you will see the wagon that the Lord is bringing your way. Do not cave in to pressure. Do not bow to compromise.
When you hear the sound of abundance of rain, get on your knees till you see the rain. Do not take your feet off the pedal until you have arrived at what you released faith for- you are eight centimetres gone!
