EVEN RIVERS NEED THE RAIN

EVEN RIVERS NEED THE RAIN

As we passed by the bridge that was at the border to our town, Irewamiri said, “Wow, the water level has risen”. I responded that “It is because it has been raining”.

When it rains, the rivers overflow.

Naturally, the rain makes a lot of difference. The rain impacts the soil and causes dry land to become fertile ground. The rain touches the rivers and causes them to overflow. The rain brings some coolness by reducing the heat of the day. The rain is the joy of farmers.

Jesus said to us that there is a river of living water in the belly of every believer. The river of living water is a reference to the Holy Spirit.

He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’ ”
John 7:38 AMP

The rivers of your belly will not flow when there is no connection to the rain of the presence of the Lord.

For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, Making it bear and sprout, And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10‭-‬11 AMP

When there is intercourse between the Word and the Spirit, it leads to remarkable changes. It results in an overflow. It was the effective team that facilitated creation.

Once the Rain of the Word falls on our ground, it leads to an overflow in our spirit that results in thanksgiving.

Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts!
Colossians 3:16 TPT

A man in the overflow season is a man full of joy and thanksgiving to the Lord. Such a man is unstoppable. Such a man becomes a force.

Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Isaiah 32:15 KJV

This is proof that the impossible can become possible. The unusual can happen. There will be great multiplication.

In the name of Jesus, every dryness around you is over. Lukewarmness comes to an end. You enter a season of abundance of rain. Your ground will bring forth life.
